As someone who grew up in the Cincinnati area and spent much of my life there, I have many fond memories of Coney Island and the Sunlite Pool. These landmarks have been part of our community since 1870 and 1925 respectively, serving as cherished vacation spots for many locals over the decades. However, these beloved sites are under threat from Music Event Management Inc. (MEMI) and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO), who appear more interested in financial profits than preserving our city's history.

Coney Island is not just a theme park; it's a one-of-a-kind historic landmark that has provided affordable high-quality entertainment to generations of Cincinnatians. The same goes for Sunlite Pool, my favorite swimming spot as a child. The actions of MEMI and CSO are causing irreparable harm to these treasures and by extension, our community.

Our city's history should not be sacrificed for short-term profit margins. We must stand against this disregard for our heritage by boycotting both MEMI and CSO until they commit to preserving these landmarks rather than destroying them.
