Boycott Israels participation in Eurovision

The Issue

Eurovision Song Contest is a platform that celebrates diversity and unity through music. It's been a tradition for Europeans for decades. However, the participation of Israel in this event has raised concerns due to the ongoing genocide of palestinians. The United Nations reports that since 2008, over 13.000 Palestinians (10K of them the last few weeks) have been killed by Israeli forces (UN OCHA). This includes mostly civilians and children who are victims of this long-standing apartheid.

The international community has repeatedly called for a peaceful resolution to this issue, but progress remains slow. By allowing Israel to participate in Eurovision, we indirectly endorse their actions against Palestinians.

We believe that Eurovision should uphold its values of unity and diversity by not including countries involved in serious human rights violations until they take significant steps towards peace and justice. In this case, those significant steps is to end apartheid, give back the stolen land and end the oppression.

Boycotting Eurovision on your own like you do with McDonalds or Starbucks will not really do a lot unfortunately. This is where we have to stand together and show our numbers.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, they were boycotted from Eurovision. We need to show the Palestinian people that we care for them just as much as any other country, religion and ethnic group.

By signing this petition, you're urging the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organizes the Eurovision Song Contest, to reconsider Israel's participation. Let's use our collective voice for peace and justice. Please sign this petition today.
