Boycott Fox News for Promoting Racial Prejudice Against Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Performance

The Issue

Personally, I am a fan of Kendrick Lamar, and the recent comments from Fox News about his Super Bowl show were disturbing. I firmly believe that artists like Kendrick, who truthfully represent the sentiments of the misunderstood and marginalized, deserve respect and appreciation. Instead, Fox News demeaned him and his performance by employing racially discriminatory statements. Such behavior goes against the values of objectivity and neutrality that media platforms should uphold.

According to Color Of Change, a civil rights advocacy organization, the racially charged negativity against people of color in the media is overwhelming. They report that Black men and boys are consistently dehumanized and criminalized by the media, which perpetuates harmful stereotypes and fuels racial bias. This situation isn't isolated to Kendrick Lamar. Neilson Company has reported that Black consumers represent a whopping $1.3 trillion in annual buying power. Yet, Black consumers' views and interests, such as their love for Kendrick Lamar, are often misrepresented and devalued in the media.

Therefore, we are calling on viewers to boycott Fox News until they apologize for their racially insensitive comments and promote unbiased reporting. It's time Fox News is held accountable for the harmful stereotypes and racial bias they perpetuate. Sign this petition to send a clear message: we won't stand for racial bias in media.
