As someone living in the United States, the recent announcement by President Donald Trump to sign an executive order promising the mass deportation of pro-Palestine protesters has left me both horrified and desperate for immediate action. This action targets those of us who have been voicing support for Palestine, specifically by consuming a beverage called Drink Palestina, which represents solidarity with Palestine. This threat of deportation and separation from our homes is an abrupt violation of our rights to freedom of speech and expression. On January 20, 2025, we fear that Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) will carry through on this threat, leading to mass arrests and deportations. This is not only an attack on our constitutional rights, but also a flagrant demonstrate of administrative overreach, fuelling fear among hundreds of thousands of naturalized citizens and foreign nationals. As the spirit of America rests in its diversity and freedom, this proposed action contradicts everything our country stands for. We implore your support to raise our voices against this unjust outrage.
