The Issue

We are a group of former and concerned Buc-ee’s employees from the Pass Christian, Mississippi location.

Many of us began working for Buc-ee’s with pride — believing in its reputation for friendly service and clean stores. But behind that image is a very different reality: employees being fired without warning, forced to work long stretches with no real rest, and treated unfairly because of age, pregnancy, race, or simply for speaking up.

Many employees at the Buc-ee’s in Pass Christian have lost their jobs or felt pressured to leave because of the stressful and toxic work environment. People who worked hard to keep the store running are now struggling to make ends meet, facing bills and family responsibilities without the income they depended on. Buc-ee’s should review these situations and consider rehiring or compensating employees who were unfairly let go or left under difficult circumstances.

Complaints of harassment and discrimination are often ignored. Pregnant workers have gone without proper accommodations. The lack of communication and unrealistic expectations have created an environment that leaves employees physically exhausted and mentally drained. Some are afraid to speak up because they fear retaliation or losing their jobs.

This petition isn’t just for Mississippi — we believe this may be a nationwide issue across Buc-ee’s stores. We are opening this space for any current or former Buc-ee’s employee to share their story, add their signature, and stand with us in demanding accountability, fairness, and change.

We’re asking Buc-ee’s leadership to:

Investigate management practices and treatment of employees at all store locations.
Protect workers who speak up from retaliation.
Provide clear communication, fair scheduling, and safe working conditions.
Review wrongful terminations and resignations under stress, and offer fair remedies.
Uphold the company’s public image by living out the same respect and kindness it promotes to customers.

No worker should have to choose between their job and their dignity. It’s time for Buc-ee’s to prove that it values the people who keep its doors open and its customers happy.
