Boycott Bravo TV Network for Discriminatory Practice And Unjust Removal of Kenya Moore

The Issue

I—a regular TV viewer, a fan of Real Housewives, have observed a disturbing trend in the way women of color are treated on the bravo tv network compared to their white counterparts on other shows. This disparity has been prevalent, unsettling, and reinforcing damaging stereotypes over the years.

Secondly, and equally disconcerting, is the abrupt and unjust removal of Kenya Moore from The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA). Kenya Moore, who engrossed millions with her charisma, was abruptly removed from the show without proper justification. The confluence of such biased practices exposes a disconcerting pattern warranting immediate attention and change.

According to data from a 2017 study by the Creative Artists Agency and shift7, shows with ethnically diverse casts earn higher ratings and more revenue (source: LA Times, 2019). Hence, diverse representation is not only an issue of equity, but also profitable for the industry.

Through this petition, we demand change: an end to discriminatory practices and double standards that celebrate racial inequality in our screens and living rooms; we also demand the revision of Kenya Moore's unjust removal. Raise your voice against bias and demand justice for Kenya Moore. Sign the petition today.
