Boycott BarkBox Over Pride Betrayal and Empty Apology

Boycott BarkBox Over Pride Betrayal and Empty Apology
The Issue
This Pride Month, BarkBox chose fear over love.
When it mattered most, BarkBox paused its support for the LGBTQ+ community, silencing Pride merchandise ads because they didn’t want to "make a political statement."
But Pride is not politics. It’s visibility. It’s survival. It’s love. And when a company backs down to hate, it sends a loud message: our community is expendable.
This wasn't just a misstep. It was a retreat. BarkBox had a chance to stand tall and chose to shrink instead—hurting queer employees, customers, and allies in the process.
An apology from the CEO can’t undo the damage done or restore the trust broken.
We won’t support a brand that treats our lives like a PR problem.

We deserve more than rainbow toys—we deserve respect.
