The Issue

As an avid fan of the NFL and the Super Bowl, I have always looked forward to the halftime shows that are a celebrated part of this iconic American event. However, I find myself deeply disappointed by the NFL's decision to book Bad Bunny for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. This choice goes against the values and language that are central to the American culture and spirit.

Primarily, Bad Bunny does not perform in the English language. English is not just the predominant language of the United States; it's a unifying factor that allows diverse audiences to connect over shared experiences, such as the Super Bowl. Inviting an artist who primarily performs in another language alienates a significant portion of the audience and dilutes the cultural essence of this national event.

Furthermore, Bad Bunny has been associated with supporting violence against federal law enforcement agents. This stands in stark contrast to the respect and admiration that we, as Americans, hold for those who serve and protect our nation. Allowing an artist with such controversial views to take center stage at one of the world’s most significant sporting events sends a troubling message that we cannot endorse.

The sexually provocative nature of Bad Bunny's performances also raises concerns. Halftime shows are broadcasted to millions of viewers, including families and young children who admire the Super Bowl as a wholesome, family-friendly event. Introducing sexually suggestive performances into this setting compromises the integrity and appropriateness of the show for its diverse audience.

We call upon fans and supporters of the NFL to join us in boycotting all advertisers associated with the 2026 Super Bowl. By collectively taking a stand against this decision, we can make our voices heard and demonstrate that the cultural values of American audiences matter.

Sign this petition to boycott advertisers and urge the NFL to reconsider their decision regarding the 2026 halftime show. Let's stand together to protect the cultural integrity of the Super Bowl.
