Petition to Name the NYCHA Boxing Gym in Honor of Quahmir Cruz

We, Family Members, Friends, Nycha Residents and Supporters Of Our Community, respectfully request that the NYCHA boxing gym be named in honor of Quahmir Cruz.

Quahmir was a beloved member of our community whose life touched many people. His memory continues to inspire family, friends, and neighbors. Naming the boxing gym after Quahmir would create a lasting tribute to his legacy and serve as a source of inspiration for young people who walk through its doors.

The gym represents discipline, strength, perseverance, and community—values that should be passed on to future generations. By dedicating this space to Quahmir Cruz, NYCHA would honor a young life that continues to be remembered and celebrated throughout the neighborhood.

We respectfully ask NYCHA leadership, the Tenant Association, and all appropriate decision-makers to consider naming the boxing gym in Honor Of Quahmir
