There is a very large adult collector community who would like to be able to support their hobby as well as their local retailers. Most of the Big Box stores will over-order on the first wave of a line of product. This means that even though collectors, as well as kids, purchased each figure in the first wave, they are left with loads of figures from that wave still on the shelves. These “peg warmers” prevent them from purchasing new toys from future waves as retailers don’t order them. These waves end up stuck at Hasbro and, ultimately, get shipped to the "discount" stores.

Hasbro’s Sales Department needs to do a better job of selling an entire line to the stores, emphasizing that each wave of the line is as important as the first wave. They must focus on convincing the Box Stores that ordering too much of one wave would be bad for local sales as the purchasers will not continue to buy the same figure multiple times.

In addition maybe Hasbro can look at alternative venues in which to sell/promote their product. Reaching out to comic book stores, more grocery stores, as well as focusing efforts on their own Toy Shop would be very helpful to consumers. Currently, most sought after
