Businesses such as Hair Salons, Beauty Salons, Gyms etc which are good for people’s mental health and well being are being unfairly penalised during this current Lockdown and face further closures in future during local Lockdowns. It would seem that this Lockdown is basically most people carrying on as normal (I’ve seen plenty of ‘non essential’ businesses open) whilst we are forced to close and have been given a grant of 10% of our monthly income which is not viable. We have spent a small fortune and continue to work very hard to make our Businesses Covid Secure and we need to be able to keep our Businesses open and/or be given more support. We have been Categorised with Hospitality since this situation started and we are struggling with the same issues yet we have had no ‘eat out to help out’ type campaign or VAT reduction. We have been closed at what should be our busiest time of year after losing 5 months of business earlier in the year and now have to deal with the threat of more future closures. We are on our knees both financially and mentally. Give us more restrictions but keep us open! Give us more support! Thank you.
