Petition to revise the ‘blanket’ Covid 19 Tier 3 restrictions imposed in Kent as of 2 December 2020. 

Many of the Boroughs in Kent are recording Covid cases well below the England national average, and some are indeed very low. Tier status should be allocated to each Borough depending upon the risk status.

It is clear that many Boroughs will suffer as a result of significantly high statistics in just a few Boroughs, naming Swale and Thanet as just two examples, recording over 3 times the national average. 

Every Borough should be allocated the appropriate Tier according to it’s case numbers. To target Kent as a whole and band it Tier 3 is causing a devastating effect on business and industry, not forgetting the adverse effect on the general public’s wellbeing and mental health.
