Resign and Call A General Election

Resign and Call A General Election
The Issue
On the 24th July 2019, Boris Johnson entered Downing Street for the first time as British Prime Minister.
Following the resignation of Theresa May as PM, Mr Johnson has won the leadership of the Conservative Party, having been elected by its membership. Following his election as Tory Leader, Mr Johnson was coronated Prime Minister without having the put his case to the people of this country.
Approximately 45 million people are eligible to vote in the United Kingdom (Office for National Statistics), however just 92,153 people voted for Boris Johnson to be the next Prime Minister. Meaning of the entirety of the UK electorate, roughly 45,683,647 were denied a vote as to who should be their next Prime Minister. This means that Boris Johnson has a mandate of just 0.2% of British Voters.
Following Gordon Brown's appointment as Prime Minister in 2007 under similar circumstances to that of Boris. Mr Johnson said that Mr Brown's unwillingness to call an election (Much like Boris is refusing to do now) was "arrogance", "contempt" and "[trampling] on the will of the British People".
These words have not aged well, and they have proven that Mr Johnson is entirely aware of the undemocratic of his succession to power. In his own words, Mr. Johnson can now be referred as a "gigantic fraud", just as he named Brown for his failure to face the people.
Mr Johnson will not have to face the British People until 2022. Which means his own words about Brown now ring true...
"The extraordinary thing is that it looks as though he will now be in 10 Downing Street for three years, and without a mandate from the British people" -Boris Johnson, 2007
Mr Johnson, bring your case to the British People and stop undemocratically hoarding the position of Prime Minister. You cannot represent the British People without their consent!
