Let small business trade during lockdown - they don't need to suffer, they have taken every precaution to make sure people are as protected as they can be against Covid-19. If you can buy 'non-essentials' at the local supermarket, then you should be able to use local businesses to buy them from.

They are independent - they do not have the spending power of the 'top five' retailers. 

They have done everything they can to ensure they and their customers and clients are safe - at great cost.

It's the PUBLIC that needs to be curtailed, not business - independent businesses are taking all the measures they can to make themselves and their customer/client base safe.

Independent business and private healthcare practitioners are taking more steps to protect people than any major 'supermarket' yet they are allowed to continue.

If you can buy a jumper or a saucepan or a pair of earrings from a supermarket - you should be able to buy from a local shop. 

If you have an NHS appointment which follows COVID protocols, you should be able to have an appointment with a local Healthcare practitioner who follows protocol.

Control the PUBLIC - independent businesses are complying and now expected to lose everything they have worked for.... again. Let them trade.... they are complying.
