Tier 2 trading restrictions has been devastating for community pubs with many needing to remain with their doors closed as trying to become a restaurant in a week is not financially viable. Jobs and businesses are at risk but so are local communities.

Pubs are more than the drinks they serve. For many they are a lifeline to combat loneliness. They are the hub of the communities they serve and they are being left die.

many pubs spent a great deal of money setting up to be COVID secure when take was already down. The support packages have dried up, they need help, they need support, they need to open!

we propose the introduction of a safety passport whereby a premises is provided clear guidelines and regulations that need to be in place. They are inspected and if all criteria is met, then they have to go ahead to serve drinks without the need for a substantial meal.
