Child services case workers to be prosecuted if they fail to protect a child when reported

Child services case workers to be prosecuted if they fail to protect a child when reported

The Issue

Too many children have been failed by child protection services leading to their death at the hands of the very people they are supposed to be loved and cared by. When a report is made especially from family and friends of the child, these reports need to be taken more seriously and acted on with urgency, if there are any signs of abuse and no action is taken by the local authority and the child ultimately dies then the case worker should be personally prosecuted and the local authority heavily fined for negligence.

This is the only way reports will be taken more seriously and acted on, political correctness should not even be in the equation, any sign or suspicion of abuse should instigate a full investigation into the causes and persons responsible for that abuse. If the local authority and case workers are found to have not carried out a thorough investigation when a report is made and that child dies then that case worker should be prosecuted and the local authority should be heavily fined.
