The government announced that all non essential businesses should be shut down during the lockdown. “Shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which should be infrequent as possible”. Yesterday Boots managers got word that they will be open as usual including the beauty hall. The government guidelines clearly states that people should only shop for essentials such as food and medication, so why will all beauty consultants still be working and exposing themselves all for the sake of selling customers makeup products, which are already sold online on Boots.com.

Boots have not handled this current situation properly, they are not controlling the amount of customers that are in store, social distancing is not in place, and many customers are not wearing any sort of face coverings. As a pharmacy this is appalling.

Many of us have families that we want to protect but Boots have clearly shown that all they care about is making money and do not care about their staff’s health and safety. Please sign this petition so that our voices can be heard. Beauty consultants are not considered essential workers.
