Save Our Wildlife, Green Space & Privacy! No to this housing development in Bolton!
The Issue
A planning application has been submitted to Bolton Council ref 10044/20 for the development of a 4 storey block of 36 apartments and 9 houses by Bolton Homes in conjunction with Watson Homes on land at the rear of Grizedale Road, Great Marld Close, Marld Crescent and Moss Bank Way.
The developers intend to demolish two bungalows, move a public footpath and build on valuable green space woodland that is thriving with wildlife. There are numerous trees with TPO’s on the land. There are also at least 24 species of bird, bats, hedgehogs, squirrels, water voles, foxes, toads, newts, 5 different bumble bee species, and other wildlife on the proposed development site. Their habitats and the eco systems will be destroyed.
Among the many reasons why the proposed development will impact negatively on the area apart from destroying our wildlife are -
Eco systems will be destroyed, it will invade the current residents privacy, cause excessive traffic, pollution, noise, put extra pressure on local schools and other services, take away valuable green space and the apartment block will not fit in with current properties.
Please sign this petition to strongly object to the proposed development NOW! Also send your objections either in the post or online by 3rd February to Bolton Council Planning Department.
Also make your views known to local Councillors.
