Allow Chickens in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota

The Issue

Currently, chickens are not allowed to be kept in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. By allowing a few chickens to be kept, residents have access to a more healthy supply of eggs and meat if they so choose. Chickens are small and easy to keep. They are not messy and do not require a lot of room.

By allowing chickens to be kept in Spring Lake Park, which is a small suburb, we can allow residents of Spring Lake Park to more healthier ways to access eggs, and raise their own meat if they so choose. Chickens do not require roosters in order to produce eggs, and you don't need multiple chickens to produce large amounts of eggs. Not only this, but chickens eat bugs, such as ticks, which can carry deadly diseases.
