"A Partnership for Tomorrow" - The Motto of Carmel, Indiana.
Carmel is a rare jewel of a city. Offering residents the perks, lifestyle and amenities we all associate with the "American Dream". From outdoor activities, cultural dedication and close ties to the arts and residents who have the privilege of calling this city home.
An All American City.
The G.O.A.T. is the first victim of Carmel ending its "Partnership with Tomorrow". "When issues began to arise, the city (of Carmel) asked both sides to find a way to co-exist. The GOAT has done everything possible (with much success) at reducing all issues across the board. Reduced hours, zero use of yard area, put up gates, signs, installed cameras, etc." ("City of Carmel, or City of Cohen"). There's a resolution here that doesn't involve the demolishment of a local business.
Yes, there were a couple incidents in the past of unsightly behavior, but who among us can say they have never made a mistake? For a business owner, we call that learning opportunities and growing pains. We've all seen a fair share of massive success and upsetting failures amongst businesses in the community, 2020 taking victim to some. The glorious part of each of these faults and successes is that it has been at the proprietorship of the owner. It's the ultimate gamble to risk your hard earned money on such a large venture as opening a place of business. But, isn't this what Carmel is known for? I walk the Monon, drive on Rangeline, and walk my dog down Main St., surrounded by local businesses. Penn and Beach, Fork 'N Ale, Bub's, Anthony's, Savor, Java House, Woody's, The Farmers Market, just to name a few. All being examples of a relationship between the city and its people to not only prosper in the success of each other but flourish in the diversity and inclusion that only comes with small businesses.
So, to anyone reading this, do you have a dream?
If your answer is anywhere in the vicinity of yes, sign this and let someone else achieve theirs!
This is the "Greatest Of All Tragedies"
