As the founder of the Australian K67 Owner Group I have heard many complaints about the quality control from BMW Motorrad and subsequent quality control at a Australian dealer level. The people that have signed this petition acknowledge that they have experienced varying degrees of some or all the issues listed below;

Engine stalling on start up (cold start)
Leaking fork seals
Leaking front brake calliper(s)
Left hand grip loose
Rearset fallen off
Cracking in clear coat on carbon wheels
Cracking of the “gills”
Oil leaking from timing inspection plug(s)
Oil Leaking from sump plug
Oil Leaking from engine case
Water/Oil pump seal leaking
General QC of fairing bolts
TFT Rebooting
Chain tension loose

 
Although for the most part dealers have been helpful in getting the issues fixed as they happen there are still issues that have not been resolved and we have had no communication from dealers or BMW. From purchasing a premium product we would have expected a greater level of service than we are currently getting.

Owners and people in the motorcycling community are quickly learning of the long list of issues plaguing the K67 S1000RR.
