BMC: Clear the heaps of dirt and filth removed from the gutters all over Mumbai
The Issue
Nearly 15 days' ago, the gutters in Dadar Parsi Colony were cleaned and the rubbish removed from the gutters is still sitting beside the gutter. Is there any sense in this?? The residents are being subjected to a stink and being exposed to untold diseases. The same scenario exists in Dharavi. The nullah going through Dharavi was cleaned and still the heaps of filth is lying stacked on the road. Why can't the filth be removed immediatley after the gutters have been cleaned?? Is the BMC waiting for the rains to start so that this same filth can once again enter the gutters and clog the drains, once again?? Is there any rationale in this ridiculous methodology adopted by the BMC?? The rains are due any day now and the least the BMC can do is to ensure that the streets are clean and rubbish/filth free.
