DeGroff Park is a beautiful hidden gem within Lighthouse point where many families come and enjoy its natural beauty, including the old playground.

The run-down playground at DeGroff Park has been removed and we would like to see a new playground be built where our children can run and play; especially, during these times of distance learning, social isolation, and uncertainty.

The city has decided not to reinstall the playground, but instead add more bench areas and shade canopies to the park.

DeGroff Park is zoned recreation and open space and specifically, playgrounds are a permitted use. So please, sign the petition and let the City know that our local neighborhood park should have a playground. Thanks!
