Bluestone Lane: Stop charging more for plant-based milk

The Issue

Hundreds of coffee shops have dropped the upcharge on plant-based milk, a policy that is better for animals, the environment, and coffee drinkers.

Bluestone Lane is not one of them. The company continues to charge more for plant milk, making the kinder, more Earth-friendly option less accessible to its customers.

The dairy industry is built on the suffering and exploitation of animals. Cows endure separation from their calves, harsh living conditions, and inhumane treatment at factory farms.

Dairy milk has a significantly greater environmental impact than plant-based alternatives. For example, compared with oat milk, cows’ milk production generates three times more greenhouse gas, takes up 11 times more land, and uses 13 times more fresh water.

Cows’ milk is one of the most common food allergens, and an estimated 30 to 50 million Americans are lactose intolerant, including roughly 90% of Asian Americans, 80% of African Americans, and 50% of Latino Americans.

Tell Bluestone Lane to do the right thing for animals, the planet, and its customers and drop the plant-milk upcharge!
