I was wounded with an IED Attack in 2005, in Baghdad. I went through 5 surgeries to repair my left leg and several procedures while still active duty. Now, its been two years of being homeless, waiting on my claim that was %100 percent for war injuries suffered due to explosion.

 Since getting all that straight I still have had limited to no medical access at the V.A. hospital or wait three months for just a regular visit. My wife works and pays a lot of money to Blue Cross Blue Shield so we can have coverage as well because the V.A. is not helping. So I went through a daunting referral system in which finally I was able to get an outside doctor that would be willing to help. 

We went through 6 months of doing everything the insurance company ask just to be denied a surgery because it was war related. I can't even walk. I spend most days having to have my wife and caregiver watch me cry and get brushed aside by red tape. This surgery would change my life. 

I fought and was promised to receive care and even pay the fees asked that are already extremely high on a fixed income. Please stop private insurance from denying war related claims. If I pay my premium their should be no differences in treatments. Thank you and please support this cause...its not just me your helping...but at least 250,000 other troops in the same position. Thank you for your time.
