Dear Sister Charmaine Krohe and Members of the Board of Trustees,

We, the undersigned community members of Notre Dame Preparatory School, write with growing concern regarding the leadership of Sister Patricia McCarron, SSND. As stakeholders deeply invested in the ethos and mission of NDP, we submit this petition calling for:

1.   A Town Hall Meeting:  To date, no substantive response has been issued to our individual and collective voices of concern regarding the ineffective and unprincipled leadership of Sister Patricia McCarron. We are tired of the silence and evasion of dialogue. We invite you and the Board of Trustees to hear our voices and share yours.

2.   An Independent Investigation of Sister Patricia’s Leadership: We believe that the deteriorating school culture, as evidenced by the inordinate turnover of faculty and administration, is rooted in an imbalance of power protected by a lack of transparency. We request that a committee of current and former teachers, administrators, parents, and alumnae, as well as an independent consultant who specializes in ethical decision making in educational settings, be included in reviewing the many concerns that you have received.

As stakeholders of the community, we believe that a change in leadership is necessary to restore trust, transparency, and commitment to the values of NDP. The NDP community is more unified than ever, eager to support you in bringing about positive change at NDP.
