After seeing the progress of other institutions have made with their temporary changes to their academic policies in light of the COVID-19. Bloomfield College has only transitioned to a distant learning option. While the students understand the administrations position based on the recommendation from the Governor Phil Murphy and the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), it is important to prioritize the needs and the health of the students. With also being in the top 5 states of having the most cases of COVID-19. Among the plethora of decisions that need to be made during this trying time in the world, it is necessary to not penalize students for lack of resources and unfavorable learning environments. We as the student body at Bloomfield College request for a "Universal Pass Policy" to be put in place to ensure peace of mind while attempting to continue our studies, and survive during a global pandemic. As this will also help the stress for International students, athletes, & etc types of students over-welling students with dealing living situations and academics for future progress of their careers.
