Blake Moret: Take a Pay Cut

Blake Moret: Take a Pay Cut
The Issue

TLDR:
Rockwell Automation canceled merit pay increases and bonuses for employees. However, top executives received significant pay increases, with CEO Blake Moret's compensation rising by 52.6% to nearly $17 million. This disparity is unfair, and we are calling on Blake Moret to take a pay cut to reflect the sacrifices asked of the rest of the team.
Update: In light of the recent news that Rockwell executives will not be receiving any incentive bonuses for the rest of the year, I am going to stop promoting this petition. However, the changes to merit increases and hybrid work policies still put a lot of unnecessary stress and hardship on many employees and I encourage you to express your frustration to management.

Background:
Rockwell Automation has over 20,000 employees globally. Last November, we received better than expected FY 2023 results, which included record breaking revenue. However, we were all told that our annual merit pay increase would be delayed by 6 months due to lower forecasted revenue for FY 2024.
Almost 6 months later, we received better than expected results for FY24 Q2. However, this came with the news that those previously delayed merit increases would be canceled. Year end bonuses for 2024 are also canceled. Hybrid workers will now be required in the office three days per week, adding to their gas, childcare, and other daily expenses.
The issue:
In January 2024, news came out that Rockwell's top executives would be receiving pay increases of between 25% and 75%. CEO Blake Moret received a compensation increase of 52.6%, bringing his total compensation to nearly $17 million. It is hypocritical for top executives to take home such a large compensation increase, while citing forecasted company performance as a reason to give everyone else a 0% increase. We are all part of the same team.
The Ask:
Blake Moret: We politely ask that you take a pay cut. If we can't afford to give everyone a small raise to at least keep up with inflation, then we most definitely cannot afford to give you a 52.6% raise.
If forecasts for the remainder of FY24 are truly such an issue for Rockwell that merit increases had to be canceled, then you should take a pay cut with the rest of the team.
