Black History Month → June

The Issue

Move Black History Month to June, rebrand to African American Month, and Provide Free Essential Life Skills Education for African-Americans.

Proposal:
Move Black History Month from February to June. Because, at the very least, Juneteenth.

Rebrand "Black History Month" as "African American Month." Why focus solely on history when we can channel our energy into addressing the current inequities that continue to afflict America today?

Provide free access to vital educational resources, and courses at all colleges across the United States (online and in-person). According to a report by Prosperity Now (2019), 41% of black households fall below the federal poverty line compared with 14% of white households. By providing free access to these vital educational resources we can help bridge this economic gap.

Financial Literacy and Money Management

Critical Race Theory
