Stop the sale of fur at the Frankfurt Market
Fur farms have been illegal in England and Wales since the The Fur Farming (Prohibition) Act 2000 was introduced on moral grounds.
The fur trade is a gruesome one in which animals needlessly suffer in barbaric fur farms or die under horrific circumstances in traps. There is no excuse to accept these circumstances, there is no need for the fur trade, and is has no place in today's society, or in the city of Birmingham.
We are asking that Birmingham City Council actively discourage the sale of fur products on public land by requesting that the Frankfurt Market does not feature any stalls selling fur from this year onward.
Birmingham can and should be a fur-free city, and the city council have the power to help.
This campaign is supported by Birmingham Animal Action.
