In 2020 Birmingham City Council will launch its clean air zone.  Our heritage bus service will incur a charge for entering the zone. 

Over our period of operation, the emissions emitted by our heritage vehicles will be infinitesimally small compared to other forms of transport (cars, buses, coaches, trains and taxis), industry, air conditioning systems and wood burning fires to name but a few sources of pollution.

The imposition of CAZ charges on our services would have a significant effect on their viability, such that we would have to consider not running buses into the city centre, depriving the visiting public of a means to easily reach the museum and reducing road journeys on the city’s roads.

TMW has registered its concerns on several occasions to Birmingham City Council who appear totally unwilling to consider our case.
