Lower the rents and service charges for shops in Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Centre

THE PROBLEM:
Locals have expressed that they are concerned about the number of big brand shops closing in Sutton Coldfield Town Centre. Locals believe this is because of the parking charges which in turn is effecting footfall and therefore causing shops to close. The locals also want a more variety of shops, this includes handmade, a zero packaging shop and a sit-in arts & crafts shop for young people and families.
THE SOLUTION:
This is a petition for Sutton Coldfield Town Council and Birmingham City Council to liaise with Gracechurch Shopping Centre's Property Management Team and their clients (owners/landlords), to negotiate a reduced rent for small local businesses to set up temporary pop-up shops and keep the Town Centre active and interesting enough for locals to keep visiting.
