The Issue
We the undersigned citizens, stakeholders and visitors of Birmingham have no trust and confidence in Cllr Waseem Zaffar the Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment.
Cllr Waseem Zaffar supported the action with the Leader of the Birmingham City Council, Cllr Ian Ward, against the lowest paid female employees, the City Council care workers. Cllr Waseem Zaffar also supported the failed injunction that cost Birmingham City Council £6 million against frontline bin workers.
Previously Cllr Waseem Zaffar has been forced to resign due to his inappropriate interference with a school uniform policy, where he bullied the school to accept his relatives daughter to be out of uniform

An Independent Investigation by Birmingham City Council into Cllr Waseem Zaffar's conduct found that he had breached the code of conduct and brought his office into disrepute. Yet Birmingham City Council Leader Ian Ward promoted him to Cabinet.

Most recently during the COVID-19 Pandemic Cllr Waseem Zaffar has refused to support or assist local businesses who are now struggling in this upcoming recession. It seems he wants to make his position known yet disregard local Birmingham Business owners who are unable to keep afloat in this current climate:

Cllr Waseem Zaffar has shown disregard to the opinions of the Lozells community, and has behaved like a dictator regarding traffic restriction plans. This shows lack of judgement and leadership by Cll Waseem Zaffar:

Cllr Waseem Zaffar does not care about the demolition of the Perry Barr flyover which has been described and acknowledged by him as traffic being displaced should this occur. Many professionals and activists had previously warned about this traffic displacement and Cllr Waseem Zaffar had dismissed these concerns and refused to have any further consultation, again demonstrating poor leadership and dictatorship type of unwanted leadership. .

In King Heath Cllr Waseem Zaffar has continued to reject concerns from the local community and local businesses which has been described as a ‘Horror Story’. Cllr Waseem Zaffar has shown no support for residents and local businesses across the whole of Birmingham and has no remorse for his actions. This is a selfish individual who has lost trust and confidence and should not be in such a senior position.

Despite public outcry against Birmingham Clean Air Zone charging the poorest community the least well off private motorists driving into Birmingham City Centre, Cllr Waseem Zaffar, the Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment, ignored and rejected public concerns and continued with the scheme which will result in older vehicles being Charged £8 per day to enter into Birmingham City Centre.
The Clean Air Zone Plan will negatively impact the BAME community, with the traffic and pollution, disproportionately impacting them.
A decision has been agreed in Leeds who have suspended the Clean Air Zone and never planned to charge private motorists. Why can't Cllr Waseem Zaffar not review this decision. It seems like he cannot be bothered and goes along with what is easy and most disruptive.
Birmingham's Clean Air Zone has been riddled with confusion and mistakes throughout its implementation and has caused distress, outcry and has been delayed several times.
Cllr Waseem Zaffar, the Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment behaves like a dictator. Cllr Waseem Zaffar needs to be removed from his position of authority due to the ill made decisions he has made.
These include:
- The Birmingham Clean Air Zone
- Lozells Transport Plan
- A34 Works
- Social distancing measures
- Perry Barr Flyover
- Emergency Cycle lanes in Small Heath and Sutton Coldfield
In 2019, a High Court Action, brought by Cllr Waseem Zaffar, the Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment, against me, was withdrawn by Cllr Waseem Zaffar. When the allegations were put to him, Cllr Waseem Zaffar chose to pay substantial legal costs (over Sixty Thousand Pounds) He chose not to be cross examined and chose not to attempt to clear his name and defend himself from all historical and current allegations / speculation. He has brought Birmingham City Council and the Labour Party into disrepute. He is unfit to be in public office.

Some of the historical and current allegations that Cllr Waseem Zaffar failed to challenge and answer are:
- Domestic Violence against his first wife
- Bigamy
- Misogyny
- Fraud
- Misuse of public tax payer funds
- Intimidation of women
All of the historical and current allegations have not been properly Independently Investigated by the authorities or by Birmingham City Council, despite Birmingham City Council Leader Ian Ward, stating in front of all the elected members, that they have.
