Improve Facilities at Boldmere Gate - Sutton Park

Improve Facilities at Boldmere Gate - Sutton Park
The Issue
Boldmere Gate will be home to the commonwealth games triathlon events, however there are not any play facilities or even any toilets!
We call upon Birmingham City Council and Sutton Coldfield Council to support improvements to this area of the park which could include:
*New Play Facilities
*Cafe and Toilets to replace the disused and existing derelict toilet block
*More bins and recycling facilities
*New picnic benches
The car park is due to be refurbished in time for the commonwealth games, and the area nearby could be transformed to meet the needs of the community!
This area of the park lies within an area of Sutton Vesey Ward which has no walkable access to play for any of the local children.
There are not any toilets within a 20 minute walk of this area of the park. This has a negative impact on park users and limits how much time can be spent enjoying the park.
There are not enough bins, and no recycling facilities in this area of the park.
By signing this petition you are showing support for improvements in this area, we know that previous community consultations have shown strong support for this, but this petition is a call to action to create a lasting legacy for local residents and park visitors for decades after the commonwealth games 2022 are over!
