Open Raleigh Springs Town Center Skatepark To The Public.

The Issue

We want to have the City of Memphis open the completed skatepark, located at Raleigh Springs Town Center, to the public.

According to the City Of Memphis, the new skatepark located at Raleigh Springs Town Center was supposed to be open to the public in June of 2019. It is now reaching the end of October 2019, and the skate park is still not open to the public.

The skatepark has been completed since February of 2019, and has not been open due to the rest of the town center falling behind schedule in construction.

The skatepark has a paved road for access and a parking lot for vehicles.

What we want is for the city to stop issuing tickets to skateboarders for trespassing when the gate to the access road remains open from 9 am to 9 pm.

They could avoid the issue of "unlawful trespassing" by simply opening the skatepark section of the new Raleigh Springs Town Center from sun up to sun down until the construction is completed for the rest of the town center.

Please sign this petition that will be sent to City Councilman Bill Morrison and Mayor Jim Strickland to show them that the need and want for the skatepark is there. All they have to do is open it!
