A lot of teachers are starting to use IXL for every class in our school. However, IXL can be stressful and dis-engaging for a lot of students as well as myself. 

When teacher assign IXL, there's usually a designated score you have to get to, which is mainly 90. It may seem simple, but for new subjects that we may not yet understand, it can be very stressful and discouraging for us. Every time you get a question wrong, your score goes down and it gets harder to to reach the score assigned to you. For example, let's say you're doing a math ixl. At first you're doing okay, however, you reach a problem that you struggle with and don't have someone to help you. Many times, we get stuck on this question for minutes and when we get it wrong repeatedly, we're stuck till hours on end. Its also been shown to be very frustrating and negatively affect our mental health on our end.

We, the students, have expressed our dislike and pain towards IXL countless times. By working together, we can move mountains and hopefully show the ineffectiveness and effects of ixl, ending IXL assignments in our school. Our voice matters as and by signing this petition, you can use YOUR voice to change the school for the better. As leaders of tomorrow, we can change the world one step at a time.
