*Please see the corrected link to our poll from yesterday's email below.* A new survey claims consumers oppose the term “milk” being used on plant milk labels. The problem? The study was commissioned by Big Dairy itself. So we’re clearing things up by asking plant milk drinkers directly: Do you really know what you’re buying when you choose soy, almond, or coconut milk? Vote in Compassion Over Killing’s poll today!

As the dairy industry continues flexing its lobbying muscle to urge the FDA to restrict plant-based product labeling, a new poll has found that 61% of consumers apparently want the FDA to restrict the term “milk” from being used on vegan products.

Yet this study was backed by none other than the National Milk Producers Federation, the industry group leading the assault on thriving vegan milk makers in a desperate attempt to squash the competition as its own sales curdle.

COK investigations have revealed that cows endure a heartbreaking cycle of abuse in the dairy industry -- and many consumers, increasingly aware of the cruelty and cholesterol in cow's milk, are opting for plant-based milks kinder to animals and their health.

While the dairy industry cries over spilled milk, others are standing with these conscious consumers. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit recently upheld the dismissal of a class action suit against almond milk-makers Blue Diamond, stating no “reasonable consumer” would confuse their almond milk purchase with cow’s milk.

Do you know what’s in your almond milk? Help us clear things up for Big Dairy by voting in our poll TODAY!

P.S. After voting, make sure to submit your comment urging the FDA not to bow to industry pressure by restricting plant milk labels! Click here for details and a sample comment. DEADLINE = January 28.
