Asak was beheaded by Taliban because he served US army, his mother is denied entry to US!
The Issue
Asak's mother who lost her 21 years old ambitious hardworking full of life young son as a result of serving as an interpreter to the US army in their mission of war on terror in Afghanistan, for 3 years. In his final year he was promised a higher paid job as an interpreter in another base. It was just the day before Eid e Ramazan (a big muslim celebration) that he received the call to come for a job interview. He left the house promising her mother to return for Eid. He and his friend started their journey to a place that they thought is a heaven; a higher paid job and a better position. To everyone’s shock, Asak Akbarzai never came back. After some time one of Sharifa’s relatives called Asak’s father informed him about the video that was released in Pakistan by Taliban naming it “ The Destiny of Espionage '' showed that Taliban were interviewing Asak while he seemed horrified and crying for their mercy. At the end of the clip you could see Asak and his friend were being beheaded along with four other young interpreters.
The reason I am writing for “Sharifa” case is to support her in alleviating restriction on the Diversity Lottery Visa (non renewable) that she has won. but due to Trump's ban she may lose her visa. we welcome and support the compensatory immigration policies of the Biden administration. Specially uplifting “Muslim Ban” which sends the message of acceptance and embracing equality, one of the very tenets that United States of America and the highest value that this country stands for -“ Equality of Opportunity”. Sharifa, after a lot of suffering and being failed and neglected by the policies in place to aid interpreters requests Biden administration to consider removing the impediment on her way to use her legal visa and enter United States before it is too late for a deserving person to at least give her an opportunity to live in peace with her remaining children.
