BHARATH RATHNA FOR SRI PARASARAN, LAWYER WHO FOUGHT RAM JANMASTHAN CASE

BHARATH RATHNA FOR SRI PARASARAN, LAWYER WHO FOUGHT RAM JANMASTHAN CASE
The Issue
I have started this petition to ensure that the dedicated services of Sri Parasan be honoured with Bharath Rathna. Let me explain why....
In the Supreme Court, when the Muslim side opposed the demand to hear the Ayodhya case daily, Parasaran pleaded, "I am 93 years old; I should see the verdict of this case before I die."
When the Supreme Court judges permitted him to sit down and present arguments, lawyer Parasaran politely refused and gave his arguments while standing.
In the Supreme Court, the Ayodhya case starts at 10.30 am and ends at 4 pm every day. Because we are talking about Rama, Parasaran reverently stands up and removes his sandals before starting the argument; He meditates on Sri Rama in his mind, folds his hands, closes his eyes and bows his head; Then 93-year-old lawyer Parasaran stands on his bare feet for 4 or 5 hours and pleads for the Ram temple. Parasaran argued like this not for one day, not for two days, but for 40 days
In a Hindu temple, the deity we worship as an idol has a legal recognition. Parasaran was instrumental in the success of the Ayodhya case by pointing out the legal nuance that Sri Ram, fondly known as "Ram Lalla" was also a plaintiff.
The term Janmasthan, which is called the birth place of Rama, does not refer just to some small place; It was Parasaran who put forth the argument that it refers to the entire area worshiped by people over centuries.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1207599332192600064 - click this link to watch the video in which Sri Parasaran narrates how a troop of monkeys visited his house soon after the verdict, as if Lord Hanuman was celebrating the victory & sharing HIS happiness over Sri. Parasaran's role.
Dear friend, Isn't our duty to honour a apolitical judicial luminary who pursued an absolutely constitutional process to resolve a centuries old dispute between 2 communities? Please sign the petition & don't forget to share the request with every individual / group you are connected with. Namasthe!
