Ask any Indian of what or who has brought pride to their nation in sports its certain that Cricket World Cup and M S Dhoni shall be figure prominently amongst the names. M S Dhoni and Tendulkar are in different leagues but both have brought similar pride to the nation. The brilliance of Tendulkar is hard to replicate but so is the perfect mix of batting, wicket-keeping and above all leadership skills of Dhoni.

A Bharat Ratna to M S Dhoni is due. He has retired from International Cricket but his impact refuses to die down. Every arena that he visits gets painted in his colours. Standing ovations,  crowd roars and the acknowledgement from people of his mere presence on the field is a testimony to the high esteem in which he is held by the people of the nation.

Dhoni is past his prime and may not be in active cricket for long. It's time we paid him his dues.
