There are still over 3000 homes to be completed by BGC. Alan is one of those customers still waiting. This is his story:
"Some months ago, my wife was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Her prognosis is uncertain, and she is to have a biopsy in a week’s time, as well as radiotherapy. Possibly other treatments will follow.
My wife said to me she always had this feeling she was never going to see our house reach completion. It was at that point, reached out to BGC, to our old Area Manager who is now no longer there, pleading with him to escalate our situation to get something done to move our build along. This was back in May 2023 that I made contact, and whilst he was able to get some things progressed before he left, it has still been slow moving. If BGC had any real compassion, they would direct resources to finishing our build as a priority, but it just crawls along.
It has been a nightmare to watch the mismanagement that we have witnessed from BGC. We had our contact person up to our pre-start meeting change 3 or 4 times in the space of a few months.
The delays of nothing for long periods, between activities on site, means that in 2022 I think we had a total of maximum 3 months’ worth of work happen on site, and 9 months of nothing."
Alan.
