91% of the plastic we use is not recycled. As the result, huge amount of plastic waste is produced, which very often ends up in forests, rivers, lakes and oceans, harming the environment. We would like to put a stop to it. 

Most of the bottles produced nowadays are recyclable. However, among the biggest beverage producers, less than 7% of the new bottles are produced from recycled plastic. We believe one of the most important reasons for that, is the lack of recycling infrastructure, especially in the developing countries. People living in such countries, very often live long distances away from the nearest recycling centers, which makes it almost impossible for them to recycle used bottles. As the result, huge share of the plastic bottles does not have a chance to return to the bottle producers, who thus are not able to produce new bottles from the old, recyclable ones.

We would like to promote a solution to that problem. It is enough, that the beverage producers start using plastic bottles which are more easily recyclable, such as the ones proposed by the "Team Bottle Squad". By designing a bottle which is much easier to smash and store, it would be much easier for people in developing countries to transport such bottles to the recycling centers.
