Change Paypal & Ebay rating from A+ to an F
Change Paypal & Ebay rating from A+ to an F
The Issue
The San Jose Better Business Bureau of California rating of an A+ for paypal gives customers a false impression of a company that receives 1,000's of complaints a year. On their own websites they state they have received over 6,500 complaints in the last 3 years. A link to TrustLink on that same page gives customer reviews for the company. After 197 reviews they received 1 star out of 5 with many people saying they would give negative stars if they could. Not only this but a google search will uncover an enormous amount of complaints and shady business practices by this company. Some of these business practices include holding a sellers funds for 21 days without the seller being able to use the funds, but expecting the seller to ship the item without receiving the shipping costs. Freezing customer accounts for 180 days. Many of which are long time sellers with power seller status, top rated status and 100% positive feedback as was my personal account. Because paypal is not regulated in the same way as a real merchant account, paypal accounts are frozen for numerous reasons and without warning. When the account is frozen, the funds are often held by paypal for months on end with absolutely no recourse for the merchant. These merchants will still have to find some way to pay their obligations and fill orders for the weeks & months to come, while the account is restricted. I along with all those signing this petition are asking the San Jose Better Business Bureau to change their rating of an A+ to an F for Paypal, Inc. Furthermore because Paypal is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ebay, and Ebay locks seller accounts when Paypal freezes accounts essentially requiring the seller to accept paypal. As well as the same reasons as above. We are asking that eBay Inc. rating be reduced from an A+ to an F
