Euthanasia and Assisted suicide are both very controversial issues happening across the United States. Only five states allow for these procedures to be done in the United States. With a federal law in act, rather than a state law, everyone in the fifty states will have access to euthanasia. Having only five states allowing this, makes it much harder for someone who wants to get this done in Texas, for example, because they will be forced to travel to a different state. This federal law will make it much easier for someone with a terminal illness to have access to the procedures.
