The COVID-19 pandemic is a worldwide reality that should be taken seriously and all recommendations and mandates from our state and federal government should be followed in order to flatten the curve and minimize the potential for a worst case scenario result.

That said, Bethel School District's high school seniors deserve to walk across the stage in recognition of their accomplishments and to celebrate their success with an in-person graduation. This is not a suggestion to go forward with graduation on its original date, but rather a request to not plan VIRTUAL ceremonies. Seniors and their parents would rather hold off for however long is necessary in order to experience an in-person graduation at a later date.
