A 6-year old innocent boy - Zakariya Al-Jabber, was slaughtered in Medina - Saudi Arabia. Till now there has been no word on arrests and actions against the perpetrators of this heinous act. (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thesun.co.uk/news/8385307/broken-glass-beheaded-mother-saudi-arabia/amp/

This event is a continuation of atrocities against the Shia muslims. We ask that:

1- The perpetrators be brought to justice along with those who witnessed this crime but still remained quiet; and

2- All hate material (promoting sectarian division) be banned from the Holy lands (Mecca and Medina), and all muslims sects be given the freedom to practice their religion.

Left unchecked, such senseless acts of violence will continue to grow, and pilgrims to Mecca and Medina will be killed in the streets of the Holy Land without any repercussions. The hate material that is distributed in these holy lands, and the hate speeches that have become commonplace in the Holy cities have the power to brainwash the ordinary people such that they will carry out acts of violence against those whose religious beliefs differ from theirs. Unfortunately, the "authorities" not only defend such criminals and turn a blind eye towards them, but the also support the extremist mentality. According to some estimates, over 30 Million pilgrims will be visiting the Holy lands by 2030 from almost every country of the world. If minority sects are not safe and free to practice, they will be automatically segregated through out pilgrimage.

This is against the fundamental rights of humanity and Islam. It is against what the United States stands for. We have all seen what religious extremism can do (ISIS). We cannot allow such atrocities in the Holy Land of Mecca and Medina for the sake of millions of pilgrims from the US, EU, Muslim world and other places.

What if this was your child slaughtered in the Holy City, 1000s of miles away from home, because (s)he was a minority?

Please sign this petition. This is the time to act before it is too late! Staying quiet at this moment will embolden those who are responsible for Jamal kashoggi's death, bombardment of the Yemeni children, and violation of basic human rights of minorities in their own country.
