Victoria Hall started this petition to Berkeley County Coroner George Oliver

By signing this petition, we are demanding Coroner George Oliver hold a Coroner's Inquest to determine the manner of River Lynn Major's death which is officially ruled undetermined.

River Lynn was found floating on top of the water in a small creek with no water in her lungs on January 17th, 2008. Her cause of death was labeled asphyxiation due to drowning.

We are demanding Coroner Oliver hold a Coroner's Inquest,  to call in witnesses and perform other important investigations to present this to a 12-panel jury to assist in determining the manner of River Lynn's death.

Since River Lynn's deah is officially ruled "undetermined" to the state of South Carolina we believe this is Coroner Oliver's absolute duty to hold a Coroner's Inquest for further investigation into the manner of her death.

The manner of death should not be left undetermined when a  proper Coroner's Inquest could bring forth the answers needed to determine one of the following:

Homicide, suicide, accidental or natural.

Coroner George Oliver owes this obligation to the victim River Lynn, her family, the citizens of Berkeley County and the state of South Carolina.

His website clearly states that each case will be properly investigated. This is his opportunity to act on his promises to the citizens of Berkeley County.
