Bellevue need to follow suit since the price cost had risen steady over the last few years and the minimum wage haven't increase to match the cost. Many restaurants and retail stores have already given at least $15/hour without any policy from Bellevue, so it need to be mandatory for other places to follow. A result in a raise in minimum wage can help people to spend more and help stimulate local economy. I only requested for Bellevue due to the economic growth different in many city, example: Yakima or Spokane. Bellevue have become one of the most prosperity city in Washington state and it only fair for worker to receive fairly pay to cope with the growing expense.
