Stop the new Bella Vista parking rules

Stop the new Bella Vista parking rules
The Issue
We, the undersigned residents of Bella Vista at Warner Ridge Apartments, strongly oppose the new assigned parking rules and fees imposed by management for the following reasons:
1. Management is asking for an additional fee in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, and during an ongoing lease.
2. There are more than enough spots for all residents and their guests using the “first come, first served” rule.
3. Lack of safety: People knowing when you’re not home and potential retaliation against the person who towed your car.
4. Many residents were given 2 passes initially, but now have to purchase a second pass.
5. Being assigned compact space with large vehicles.
6. Distance of parking spot from apartment.
7. Lack of guest parking.
8. Towing company will not tow vehicles called by residents, only the leasing office can authorize a tow, but staff leaves at 6pm.
9. Puts the responsibility of towing on residents instead of management, which creates conflict between neighbors.
10. Due to the location of the property, there is no street parking or other non-paying options available for residents and guests.
We are asking management to terminate the use of assigned parking spaces and any fees for the duration of our original leases. We propose instead that management allow the initial “first come, first served” rule, and monitor parking areas to ensure only cars with Bella Vista stickers are parking in resident spots.
