Mr. McNelis, or "Mr. Mac" to his students, was not only our principal, he was our friend, our support, and our guidance. His warmth emanated from his smile, the spark in his eye, and the open ear he always had ready to lend to his students, and everyone liked him. Not one student who had him as a principal would tell you otherwise, and now when we can, we need to stand up and support him the way he did for us.

On October 25, 2010, Mr. McNelis was attacked by a former substitute teacher after he asked him to leave. The Belgrade School Board has denied extending his health insurance. No one should be denied health insurance, this is a huge problem in America. Mr McNelis stepped up to the plate, and we are stepping up with him. Extend his health insurance!

Since the attack, Mr. Mac's spark has been clouded by pain and a difficult recovery, now we must do what we can to help him recover!
